Diamonds
Gemstone for April birthdays
Diamond history & meaning
Brooke is known for her love of natural diamonds in creating her unique one of a kind jewelry.
In ancient times the diamond was a symbol of courage, its name from the Greek 'adamas' meaning 'invincible'. Formed by carbon atoms, diamonds are the hardest natural substance found on earth. Diamonds can be highly faceted or kept in their natural 'raw' state for a more artisanal look.
"A diamond will always be the perfect stone for a commitment, wedding or special occasion ring because of its strength and clarity as well as its rich history."
Diamond is the traditional birthstone for April. Diamonds are said to enhance inner vision and creativity.
About diamonds
Diamonds are the only gem made of a single element, typically 99.95 percent carbon. Due to its purity, white diamonds have become synonymous with love and marriage.
Raw diamonds exist in their natural form with unique coloration and patterns often with visible inclusions or tiny imperfections trapped inside the stone. Raw diamonds present a natural and earthy alternative to traditional white sparkling faceted diamonds.
Diamond Slices are sliced diamond sections prized for their unique inclusions and pattern definition with varying hues and colors that are again, completely different from traditional faceted diamonds. Three-rayed 'trapiche' diamond slices are amongst the most scarce and striking of these as they contain a recognizable radiation-symbol pattern.
